Just a friendly reminder that if you would like to volunteer during the 2016-2017 school year, paperwork must be completed EACH year. It is suggested that you fill out the forms as soon as possible.
Students are encouraged to bring in earbuds to use with their Chromebooks as some of the programs involve sound.
Students are required to bring their agenda home each night, and share the homework expectations that have been recorded with a parent/guardian. This system ensures that students are sharing the agenda with an adult at home, and that homework expectations are clear.
PBiS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. This is a school wide program that has been created to acknowledge all of the positive behaviors that our students here at SATEC make.
The following are behavior expectations for SATEC:
W--Work and play Safely
Each child has a 4-pocket folder that they will be using on a daily basis in school. Students will need to bring these folders home in order to complete the necessary homework in these subjects. Each folder has a pocket labeled "home". This pocket will be used to separate materials that need to be worked on at home or shared with a parent/guardian at home. Students will need to keep these folders organized.
The Olweus Anti-Bullying Program
Students at SATEC participate in the Olweus Anti-Bullying Program. The program is built around four rules that students and staff are expected to follow.
1. We will NOT bully others. We will bully NO ONE.
2. We will help students who are bullied or hurt.
3. We will include students who are left out.
4. If we know that somebody is being bullied or hurt, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.
Chaperoning at SATEC
