Student Expectations :

Welcome 7th grade science students and parents!

Please read the following classroom conduct rules and expectations carefully and know what is expected from you this year.

Standards:

1. I will teach critical thinking per the 7th Grade Common Core Science Standards.

Classroom rules:

1. Abide by the Howland Middle School student conduct rulebook every day.

2. Be respectful and patient with others at all times.

3. Students must keep a 3-ring binder and bring it to class every day.

4. Always do your best work!

Discipline:

1. All minor infractions will be dealt with "in house".

2. Two verbal warnings are my standard procedure; three strikes and you’re out!

3. If the situation becomes serious Mr. Kosek will be alerted.

Tutoring:

1. Free tutoring is available by appointment typically right after school (2:35 PM).

2. Course content questions can/will be responded to before, during, and right after class.

3. Further questions on content can be addressed via email or tutoring.

grades:

1. 90-100 =A, 89-80=B, 79-70=C, 69-60=D, >60=F

2. All course points are weighted the same.

3. Extra credit is optional each nine weeks and requires preapproval.

4. Quiz or test each Friday over current course material (since last test).
