Wayne Hartley has been teaching in the Iron County School District for 25 years. He began his career at Parowan High School in 1987. He then transferred in 1993 to Cedar High School for one year. He then was employed at Cedar Middle School for three years.He has been at Canyon View High since it opened in 1997. A Level IV math teacher, Mr. Hartley has taught a wide range of classes from Mastery Math to AP Calculus. In the 2011-2012 school year, he is currently teaching AP Calculus, College Prep Math, and Pre-Calculus. He has recently been approved by Southern Utah University to teach concurrent math classes. He was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2000-2001 school year. He also earned the Power of the Dream award in 2003.
    Mr. Hartley is also the Head Golf Coach of both the Boy's and Girl's programs. He retired form the Head Coach of Boy's Soccer in 2008.
    Mr. Hartley conducts ACT prep classes throughout the year to assist students in scoring higher on the test. He also tutors on Tuesday nights from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. during the school year.
    Mr. Hartley has been married for 29 years to his lively wife, Terri. He is the father of four children and has four grandchildren.
