Final Project Guidelines
AP Computer Science
This must be done using Java! Each part of the project will be submitted electronically!
Treat this project as an opportunity for you to explore a part of programming that interests you. MOST students find this to be the project that they remember and enjoyed best. It is a chance for you to display what you know.
Some of the important criteria I use when evaluating your projects are:
1. Appropriateness of the project (is it too easy, that is the place where students commonly miss points)
2. How does the quality of student work compare with their peers(I will rank student work according to overall quality and a portion of the points will be allocated based on rank)
3. Use of time during and outside of class (This is more easily measured than you may think)
(13 May 2014) One week after AP Exam
Part 1. Individuals or Groups must turn in (electronically) a project plan outlining their project. This will include:
(20 May 2014) One week later...
Part 2. Progress check #1.
(9 June 2014) Last Monday of the School year!!
Part 3. Final project presentation. You should shoot for having a completed project by this date. Every once-in-a-while, projects don’t go exactly as planned. I will accept late projects, but there will be penalties!
