Course Description: 

World Cultues is a social science class. It extends the various skills and knowledge as foundations for further success in high school. Students will study major turning points which shaped the modern world from the late 18th century to the present. The course traces the rise of democratic ideas and develops an understanding of the cultural roots of current world issues; especially  in international relations. Students study the chronology of historical events, which shaped the modern world and develop an understanding of the geographic, political, economic, and cultural conditions which impacted history and created current world  issues.
