With nearly 15 years of experience in economic research and policy analysis, I currently work as a Senior Research Fellow at KAPSARC, where I lead the research work on the nexus of climate change and sustainable finance, support the Saudi energy ecosystem with policy advice, and deliver crash courses at the KAPSARC School of Public Policy.
My broad research expertise spans Climate Change Policy and Sustainable Finance, Financial Economics, Policy Impact Analysis, Public Finance, and Applied Econometrics.
Previously, I served as an Economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, where I was actively involved in policy design and research, focusing on the real and financial sectors. I have also worked as a research consultant for the World Bank and completed various research collaborations with several other international institutions, such as the IMF and OECD. Additionally, I have taught economics and econometrics courses at ADA University and the University of Calgary.
My research has been published in various leading peer-reviewed journals, such as the European Economic Review, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, World Bank Economic Review, and FinanzArchiv / Public Finance Analysis.
