Students will convene with their group and discuss ideas and thoughts about it. Students can research together and discuss ideas and topics. They will compile a list of information and articles regarding the topic. Students are to "comment" links to the rest of their group (2 links per person). The group will prepare a statement to be read to the class.
This statement will be an opinion supported by facts that is reached by your specific group. It should illustrate the group's viewpoint concerning genetically engineered foods as it addresses the specific questions outlined for your role. The statement must address the specific topic assigned to your role for this conference. MUST INCLUDE AT LEAST 2 x n number of links, n being the number of members in your group.
When finished, begin your assignment for the next day.
DUE MONDAY (4/4) AT END OF CLASS.
20 points (Individual)
Students will choose a role and write a one page paper expressing their particular viewpoints given that role.
The typed one page paper or written 1.5 page paper must include:
- all the questions posed by the prompt answered (http://home.earthlink.net/~spcemonk/webquest.html)
- three technical facts (eg 90% of corn grown is inedible and engineered)
- unique viewpoints.
DUE TUESDAY (4/5) AT THE END OF CLASS
FOR MODS 7/8 DUE WEDNESDAY (4/6) AT BEGINNING OF CLASS.
LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL RECEIVE NO MORE THAN 60% (12/20) if done properly.
Plagarism will be given a zero with no opportunity to make up.
