A good number of engineers, particularly industrial engineers, often choose to work for consulting companies such as Accenture. Often, consulting companies send you to do things that have nothing to do with your major. Why? Because they are confident that if you are able to navigate a difficult major in which problem solving is key, you can solve any problem. This is what you do in a consulting company. You solve problems.

Here is your problem.

You are hired to visit a school district and propose a solution. You can use the above article and other sources to write your paper. Your solution should offer the BEST way to control the violence at schools. Look at it from every level: students, teachers, officers, administrators, superintendent, Pennsylvania Board of Education, and the government. Target at least two of these levels in your solution.

You can type or handwrite the proposed solution. Lets try to keep it under 250 words and error free for full credit. You will also create a powerpoint summarizing your solution which will be presented to the class. You can work alone or work in partners. And by partners I mean two people NOT three.

Lets solve the problem.

Oh, and the best proposed solution from each class will receive a medium pizza. Maybe a large.

Paper = 10 points

Powerpoint = 5 points
