Manash R. Das is, since 2008, a Senior Scientist at Advanced Materials Group, Materials Sciences and Technology Division, CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat, India. He is also Assistant Professor in Academy Council of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), CSIR-NEIST Campus, India. He has carried out his PhD research work at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat and received his PhD degree from Dibrugarh University, Assam, India in 2007 in the area of materials science. Between 2007 and 2008 worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Rabah Boukherroub, Associate Editor ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces at the Interdisciplinary Research Institute (IRI), France. More than 87 peer reviewed research articles has been published and  nine (09) book chapters. Current research interests include functionalization of graphene, decoration of metal nanoparticles, bimetallic nanoparticles and metal oxide on the graphene sheets and their applications in photocatalytsis, peroxidase mimic activity, organic catalysis reaction, colorimetric detection, sensor etc.
