Welcome to the start of the school year. This year has brought about many changes to both the grade 7 Team as well as the school as a whole. Once again, I have been given the a great opportunity to work with Mr. Grill as well as teach humanities. This year also marks a change in the BC school curriculum, which allows us teachers greater flexibility to education and teach like no other time before. This will be a great and exciting year for all of us.
Please use this website as it gives you an opportunity to find out what your son/daughter is working on in my classroom as well as a great resources for helping you understand what they are learning. This is a very interesting video showing how education needs to be changed to meet the needs of the 21st century learner in a rapidly changing information age. There are some surprising statistics in this video that will make you wonder where are we going next? How do we prepare students for a world that does not exist yet? How to prepare students to use technology that has not been invented yet or prepare them for jobs that have not been created yet?

A great video created by the MacArthur Foundation showing the diversity and changing social patterns of todays students and how the way they learn is changing.
