Unit 1 Bonding and Structure
Welcome to the world of organic chemistry! We will begin by studying the basic principles of how atoms interact. The main topics we will discuss will be: structure of atoms, covalent and ionic bonding, electron configurations, Lewis diagrams, isomers, resonance structures, molecular shapes, condensed structures, and skeletal structures. This will be an important unit because everything we do from here on out will build on these topics.
