Acids and Bases
During this unit we will explore ionization of salts, the properties of acids and bases, how to name acids and bases, hydronium and hydroxide concentrations, pH scale, Arrhenius acids and bases, Bronstead-Lowry acids and bases, conjugate acid and base pairs, Lewis acids and bases, and how to calculate the strengths of acids and bases. We will also do three labs to explore these properties. This will be an extension of our solutions unit. As you can see from the above we will cover a lot of material in a fairly short amount of time, so you will need to stay on top of your studies. By Fri.
