  • Get a grade sheet and fill out your name and period number. File it in your file.  
  • Look up CCC 843 and copy it into your notes. 
  • View the two Cave videos and reflect on how they fit CCC 843. 
  • Get Nostra Aetate and include it in your notes.  Point out similarities between Islam and Christianity and identify the goals of dialogue.  (section 3 of NA)

    • Be sure to know the initial three reformers we talked about, the reasons they wanted reform, and the circumstances that made them successful.  
    • Be sure to know why it is difficult to make general statements about Protestantism.  
  • View the following two reports. 
  • Copy down CCC 843 in your notes and watch the following video on the Cave

Answer these additional questions concerning the Unitatis Redigratio.  
  1. What are the similarities and differences that UR points out? 
  2. Which of the five differences listed do you consider as posing the biggest obstacle in dialogue?
  3. How do Catholics and Protestants interpret Scripture differently?  
  4. What is valuable and what can pose challenges in how Catholics interpret Scripture?
  5. What can we say about the different views of Catholics and Protestants on Baptism and Eucharist?

Happy Easter!
  1. We are finishing up the "A Look at Protestant Denominations" sheet.  This will be due tomorrow.
  2. You will then get the "A Look at Protestant Denominations: Note Taking Guide" and collaborate with fellow students to learn and discover information about other denominations.  This will be done in class tomorrow. 
  3. Finally, be sure to get a map and chart of the top 10 Protestant denominations.  You will have a quiz over this map and the "A Look at Protestant Denominations: Note Taking Guide" on Friday.

  1. The Protestant Project we began earlier will be due April 8.    
    • Complete the "A Look at Protestant Denominations" activity. 
    • Check for your assigned denomination on the bulletin board. 
    • You should type your responses into the attached copy.  BE SURE TO SITE YOUR SOURCES as indicated in the directions.
