July  6 , 2006 - Letter from Senator Joyce

Dear Elected Official and Interested Randolph Citizen:

I am pleased to tell you that work has begun on repairs and
improvements to Randolph's North Main Street, Route 28.

The $1.2 million North Main Street project includes roadway and
bridge resurfacing, granite curbing, new sidewalks, and drainage
improvements and will rebuild Route 28, from South Street to Depot
Street. Additionally, Mass Highway will level the pavement to reduce the
number of bumps on the road.

Some of you may remember that several years ago, we secured
several million for resurfacing and new sidewalks on Randolph's South
Main Street, and improvements to Crawford Square.  This work is the
logical next phase of improvements to the state roadway.

The surveying work for North Main Street began July 5th, and the
construction is expected to be completed by next summer.

Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding this or any other
issue at 617-722-1643.

       Sincerely,

       BRIAN A. JOYCE
