Here is loads of extra information on my Convert which is now for sale. Mileage just over 51,000. Same owner since 1978.
I have owned and loved this machine since June 1978, it was first registered on 17 July 77 and the only other owner changed his bikes every year/few months. I used and carefully maintained it regularly until 1994 when space dictated that I should dismantle, and place him in store ready for a retirement project. That time, came 2 years ago and I was able to dedicate plenty of time and money to restoring "Guzzi" to former and in respects greater glory. However, and in common with other restorations I have done, I am a good engineer and a poor user. I have had my pleasure in the workshop and after 2 years and 1200 miles I find that I am less attracted to riding than in my youth. Guzzi will be sold with original owners manual and tools, a Haynes workshop manual, 2 Krauser panniers filled with old spare parts, a bespoke handlebar and knee fairings plus GRP moulds for the same and now also a spare torque convertor.
MOT due 17 July 2015 but I will renew on sale, if you like.
Latest News - just in case anyone is watching. I had quite a bit of interest from my one and only ad in Gambalunga, but the offers were just below my threshold so decided to wait till Spring before advertising again. May 18th and I have just bought a VW camper which needs lots of work and no doubt cash. So I am quite keen to pass on Guzzi to someone who has the time to enjoy it on the open road. This "Immaculate" example of a Convert deserves to be used and needs a new owner,
So I have reduced the price to £5,250 OVNO
Update 30 May. Guzzi has now been sold.
