Main position:
I am currently a junior PI at ICM.

My goal is to understand neuronal processes underlying motivation: how does the brain attribute a value to a potential reward ? How does the brain coordinate the resulting changes in motivation including cognitive functions, behavioral adjustments and autonomic reactions ?

My research is based on electrophysiological recordings and pharmacological manipulations in animals performing behavioral tasks where they adjust their motivation as a function of the expected costs and benefits. My work is articulated around two brain systems: the ventral prefrontal cortex and catecholaminergic neuromodulatory systems (dopamine and noradrenaline).
