You may not believe it, but spring is just around the corner! Join us at our chapter meeting to learn about gardening in our area - we'll be talking about what you do to get your gardens ready in the spring, what plants people have good luck with, and different ways to make your garden effective and a source of fresh produce for your family.
Wednesday, March 19, 2014
Crane Alley, 115 West Main Street, Urbana
March's book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
This classic novel focuses on an impoverished but aspirational third-generation-American adolescent girl and her ethnically-blended family in Brooklyn during the first two decades of the 20th century.
Every year, the chapter hosts a few special events for the whole family to enjoy. These have included a summer ice cream social, an autumn hayride, and a springtime pizza party. Members, please check your email and Calendar for more information about the next fun family activity!
