A pragmatic roboticist with over 15 years of experience in leading and developing robotics projects in academia and industry. Leverages wide ranging research expertise in major areas of robotics including manipulation, motion planning, machine learning, and vision-based control, combined with hands-on experience in executing robotics projects towards building consumer and commercial products. Known for proven expertise in leading the design and development of novel robotic solutions to address challenging applications including the DARPA Autonomous Robotic Manipulation challenge. Published in prestigious journals and conferences in robotics and engineering. A trained Scrum Master with practical expertise in agile leadership and development. A certified project manager (in-training) with strong interpersonal communication skills. Leads multidisciplinary projects involving individuals with backgrounds in software, hardware, and mechanics.
