    by the Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Winwick, of the Township of Culcheth in the said Parish that Betty Mort
    single woman was about four years and fifteen weeks ago delivered of a male bastard child which is since
    christened by the name of John, and is now chargeable to the said township, and that John Caldwell of Orfoed
    within Warrington in the said county, Husbandman is the true and only father of the said Bastard Child, and do
    order that he forthwith pay one pound nine shillings and eight pence, which they have expended, and eight pence in money
    weekly. Betty Mort do pay twelve pence in money weekly given under our hands and seal this twenty sixth day of June 1771
