    Edith's mother, Louisa Barge was born on Bonfire Night, Nov 5, 1814. She was the youngest of the nine children born to Ann nee Sutcliffe and Thomas Barge
    Louisa was christened at Cannon St Independent, Manchester on Sep 10, 1815.
    Louisa's father was a calico printer, he worked for the family firm of Messrs John Barge and Co., in Salford, Manchester
    The 1841 Census reveals Louisa living with her mother Ann and elder brother Robert at 8 Crescent, Salford with 4 servants.
    Edith Mort, dau of William Mort and Louisa Barge, married Theodore Ribton on Jun 15, 1875 at St John the Evangelist, Nottinghill, London
                      They had children Erskine, Dorothy, Tertius, and Maud. Edith died 1940
    Marion Mort, dau of William Mort and Louisa Barge, married Herbert Preston-Thomas on Dec 2, 1875 At St Johns, Nottinghill, London
                      They had children William Zumstein (1876-1949), Philip Cecil (1878-1924), Edgar Herbert (1879-1968), Quinton Burnard (1880-1951),
                      Valentine Dosde (1882-1963), Olave Eleanor Ried (1884-1976). Marion died 1926.
