    by Alice Mort, Spinster the daughter and Reuben Mort, Blacksmith the son, both of 3 Market St, the Executors.
Reubin Mort was murdered on Monday, January 19, 1920 in his shop at 3 Market St, Little Lever
Acording to the newspaper report at the time, and another published in the Bolton Evening News on Tues Oct 10, 2000
the crime remains unsolved. He was an ex-councillor, a 78 yr old bachelor recluse, and for some years had been the
village blacksmith. He had last been seen alive by his nephew Mr W H Stringfellow
