Food Pantry
Morgan Chapel's food pantry is usually open every second and fourth Saturday monthly from 9:00 to 11:00 AM

Why do we provide a food pantry?

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,"  (Matthew 25:35) NRSV

"If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday." (Isaiah 58:10) NRSV

Morgan Chapel's Food Pantry was started many years ago in the basement of a church member with donations of bread and meats from a food store in Virginia. The basement soon ran out of space. Since then, the pantry has grown from helping a few to helping many in Carroll, Howard and Frederick counties area. We assist more than 75 families each month. We will continue to grow and strive to meet the needs of the people in our community.

Donations are always welcome! We accept all non-perishable items. It is preferred that donations be dropped off at the pantry during our regular hours. If that’s not convenient, other arrangements can be made by calling the church (410) 970-2485 or sending us an email to info@morganchapel.church.
