Current subjects (habituated):
  • Redtail monkeys (8 groups)
  • Grey-cheeked mangabeys (6 groups)
  • Blue monkeys (2 groups)
Future subjects (unhabituated):
  • Olive baboons
  • L'Hoest's monkeys
  • Black and white colobus
  • Red colobus

Facilities
  • Two tent shelters, housing 3 Kodiak cabin tents
    • Each tent is 9'x12', with an additional 9'x9' screened porch
  • 1 communal latrine
  • A small lab space*
    • solar freezer
    • solar centrifuge
    • bench space for hormone extractions
    • storage space for lab supplies
  • A small office space*
    • 2 solar systems for 2 laptops
    • 1 solar system  for small electronics
    • 1 solar system for building lights
    • locking storage space for office supplies and valuable personal items
  • Dorm rooms (for up to 8 field assistants)*
  • 2 shower stalls (no running water)
    • Hot water for showers prepared by the project housekeeper and put into a bucket for bathing
  • Rainwater for drinking (it is boiled and filtered before consumption), bathing, and washing
  • Gas stove for western-style food preparation, and a wood fire for Ugandan-style food prep
  • Vegetables, starches, fruit, and meat are brought to the station weekly
  • A project vehicle (manual transmission)

  • 3-6 monkey behavior assistants
