Season Starts March 10th
I am excited to start the first season of Moorpark Wrestling Club. I have a strong passion for the sport of wrestling and want to help develop Moorpark’s youth. I am a native of Moorpark and am very proud of our community. I wrestled and graduated from Moorpark High School. After high school I attended Fresno State University where I graduated with a degree in Social Science. In 2008 I returned to Moorpark High School as a history teacher and assistant wrestling coach. This year I became the head wrestling coach and will also be starting the Moorpark Wrestling Club. My goal is to build a strong and competitive program. Through the sport of wrestling I want to teach the importance of hard work and dedication. I look forward to meeting you and your wrestlers.
Below you will find the information for the 2015 Moorpark Wrestling Club Season

USA membership cards are required for insurance and liability purposes and the national policy is that all who need membership must buy their cards online. If you do not already have a valid USA membership card, please register on-line and print out a copy of your membership card to show at your first practice. When you register, for “membership type” please scroll down to “Tri-Counties Wrestling Association”. When you search “get club”, our club is “Moorpark Wrestling Club”. The cost is about $40 for membership. Please print a card and bring it to practice.
Competition: The focus of this club is on instruction, not team competition. USA Wrestling sponsors tournaments almost every weekend throughout the region. We highly encourage wrestlers to participate, but tournaments are not mandatory.
Equipment: Wrestling shoes and head gear are required for practice. You can purchase shoes and head gear at any sports store. Like with any shoe, wrestling shoes vary in prices. I recommend the basic wrestling shoes which you can find for about $35.
I look forward to working with you,
