Information and tariff

The Property

The accommodation offers sitting room with log burner, dining room, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 single, bathroom with over bath shower and toilet, and separate toilet and lovely enclosed garden, with parking for several cars.

Up to 7 people can be comfortably accommodated. Additional beds provide space for up to another 3 people (additional children perhaps). High chair available, and a children's activity cupboard.

No smoking. Pets by arrangement and strictly not in bedrooms. Large gardens to relax and play in.

You will need to bring with you:
  • Duvet covers and sheets (there are a mixture of single and 2 king size duvets), towels, pillow cases, tea towels (unless you decide to have linen supplied - see below)
  • Provisions you will need while settling in - the local shopping area is Bovey Tracey (8 miles) - major supermarkets will deliver online shopping to Moorhayes
Tariff
  • bookings starting in Jan-Jun and Sep-Dec:
    • £600 per week (Fri-Fri)
    • £310 per weekend (Fri-Mon)
  • bookings starting in July and August and 20-31st December:
    • £700 per week (Fri-Fri)

  • non-refundable £100 deposit required and full payment 4 weeks in advance of your stay
  • although the standard change-over day is Friday (as this accommodates the cleaner's availability), we may able to be flexible at certain times; please contact us if you have a specific requirement:

Linen

As an option, we are able to provide bed linen and towels for visitors to Moorhayes. The cost of this service is £13 per single bed and £26 per king size bed. You will have the opportunity to take up this option during the booking process.
    Local Facilities

    Bovey Tracey shops are a 20 minute drive; Newton Abbot 30 minutes. 
    Local towns are Ashburton, Totnes and Dartington; larger towns of Exeter and Plymouth are within 40 minutes. Torquay is the nearest sea-side resort (16 miles), and the spectacular South Devon coastline can easily be explored on day excursions.
    Places of interest in the Dartmoor National Park only a short drive away – Widecombe, Lydford Gorge (National Trust), Becka Falls, Fingle Bridge, Meldon Reservoir, Castle Drogo and Haytor Rocks. 
    Additionally there are many prehistoric remains on the moor - stone circles, cairns and standing stones.
    Three golf courses are additionally in easy local reach – Okehampton, Ashbury Manor and the Championship course at Moretonhampstead.
    Nearest railway station: Newton Abbot (14 miles).
