Welcome to the Montine Lab website.
Our common goal is to use our talents to discover the means to prevent one person from becoming demented; this will illuminate the path to treating many others.  We have several approaches to our goal that include projects focused on chemistry, biology, pharmacology, and pathology of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.  We also have a wide range of training experiences and levels of expertise.  We welcome smart, motivated scientists who share our goal.
Please feel free to browse our website that we have arranged according to projects currently ongoing in the lab:  BiomarkersNeurotoxicology, White Matter Injury, Prostaglandin E2 Receptor Subtypes in Neurodegeneration, and Pharmaconeuropathology of Brain Aging and Dementia.

Also included is information on current and previous Trainees & Lab Members as well as Lab Publications
Please, do not hesitate to contact us at tmontine@u.washington.edu if you have any questions.
Thanks for visiting.
