This site has been designed to facilitate review of the final public draft of the Next Generation Science Standards in Montana.

Reviewers have the opportunity to look at sections of the standards in order to provide comment to OPI specific to Montana and feedback to the group organizing the writing of the standards, Achieve.

The NGSS were crafted using A Framework for K – 12 Science Education: Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Core Ideas by the National Research Council as a foundation.  The drafting process was done by Achieve with input from 26 partner states (Montana is a partner state).  We are now in the final stages of the process and in January we have a period of public access to the final draft.  It is our desire to have input that represents all areas and all stakeholders in Montana.

We hope that you will be able to join this process as we work to adopt Science Standards that will benefit Montana Students.
