SEP RESOURCES‎ > ‎Separation Output‎ > ‎

From Illustrator

This is our primary separation program for all vector art, and simple color blends.  It's also what we use to create spot color separations.

TO OUTPUT SEPARATIONS IN ILLUSTRATOR:

Greyscale Composite Sep Plates:

 1.  Open the file and click the 'WINDOW' > 'Layers' to view the files layers.  This is where you will find the separation plates.

Each layer is labeled.
Click on each eye individually to see what each plate looks like.

Spot Color Sep Plates:

1.
Open the file and click the 'WINDOW' > 'Layers' to view the files layers.  This is where you will find the separation plates.

Each layer is labeled.
Click on each eye individually to see what each plate looks like.

If you have any questions regarding what your film should look like, refer to our Printing Separations page or please contact us.

2.  If you have solid colors and no blends, then press print.

If you have any gradients / halftones check
your settings in the print window (when you press PRINT).   Under 'OUTPUT' you can adjust your DPI, angle, and dot shape.   We generally recommend a 55-65lpi, and 45 degree angle, with elliptical dot.  Now you're ready to print each plate!
