  • Literature review for metadata and clearinghouse concept and technology

  • Developed a GIS metadata set (based on ISO 19115) used in the system

  • Designed a workflow of metadata management system and user interface

  • Designed and developed a metadata management system by using PHP programming language and PostgreSQL database


Oct 2002 - Mar 2003         Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning for Archaeological recording

  • Part of a team of 4 people

  • Created a ground control network

  • Used a ground-base laser scanner to obtain 3D dataset (point cloud) of Wat Mahathat in Ayutthaya province. (Wat Mahathat is one of the most important historical architecture of Thailand, more information here; http://www.orientalarchitecture.com/ayutthaya/mahathatindex.htm)


Apr 2004 - Sep 2004         Testing of ASTER Data Accuracy and Examining Data Processing

  • Was an assistant researcher in the project at Chulalongkorn University, part of a team of 6 people

  • Tested data and wrote a manual for manipulation of ASTER data which explained the procedures for import, export, land cover classification, and DEM processing

  • Wrote & Tested a modeler script for DEM processing using ERDAS modeler

  • Lectured on ASTER hyperspectral analysis for EGAT (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand) staffs


Nov 2004 - Feb 2006         Prototype application to optimize vector rendering and retrieving using SVG

I was the project leader and main developer in the project. The project objectives were listed below.

  • To enhance the searching, retrieving and displaying speed for online interactive map

  • To develop a module (operate at server-side) for arranging vector data in spatial database

  • To develop a program module embedded at client-side browser for automatically retrieving and displaying the suitable vector data (suitable for the region of interest)

The developing tools used at server-side were PostgreSQL, PostGIS, JSP, JavaScript and SVG.

The technologies used at client-side were HTML, JavaScript, XML and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic.)


Feb 2006 – Dec 2009         Intelligent Transport Systems Program

  • Led the development team for real-time traffic information report system over several channel Web, Mobile phone, MSN (most contents were conducted in Thai language)

  • Drafted the national standards for disseminating real-time traffic information. They comprised three parts, namely 

    1) Request and Response Protocol for Road Traffic Information Service, 

    2) Location Referencing, and                                                                                                                   

    3) Traffic Event and information Coding

  • Joined a group of Thai Technical Committee (whom nominated from stake holders in ITS domain) to review and approve the standards above, my main responsibility were organizing the committee meeting and preparing the technical standard about the standards
