Upcoming Meetings for 2017/2018

Our last PC meeting of the school year will be held on June 6th, 2018 at 9:30 am at Masuk High School in the Library/Media Center.

Our guest speakers for this meeting will be Masuks principal, Joe Kobza, and Masuk students.  They will be giving us an update on Masuk and the student views of Masuk.

What is Monroe Parents' Council?

Monroe Public Schools Parents' Council is comprised of representatives from the parents' clubs of each of Monroe's five public schools and provides a forum for members to share information about their respective schools, fundraising activities, and other topics of interest. These representatives act as liaisons between Parents' Council and their school PTO or parents' club. Our representatives strive to increase and improve communication among teachers, administrators, and parents for the achievement of excellence in education for Monroe students.

Meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of Education conference room at Monroe Elementary. Meetings are open to the public.

Monthly meetings include: reports from each PTO, a report from the Superintendent of Schools, guest speakers such as school principals, teachers, and elected officials providing updates on issues of concern to Monroe parents and educators.

In addition, our members are involved with other education-related groups, such as the Nutrition and Fitness Committee, Alcohol and Drug Awareness of Monroe (ADAM), Monroe Youth Commission, District Calendar Committee, and the Joint Curriculum Committee, and are asked to serve on various committees for the school system as the need arises.

Meetings are at 9:30am in the conference room of the Board of Education offices (located at 375 Monroe Turnpike).  Meetings are open to the public.  Please consider joining us!
