                  The TARDIS lands on the moon, where the Earth's weather is being controlled, and the crew of the moonbase is affected by a plague.  Established the Cybermen as major villains in the series along with the Daleks after their first appearance in "The Tenth Planet."

         The Doctor and Jamie try to get the TARDIS back from an antique dealer, Edward Waterfield, who has stolen it and takes them to 1867.  They must rescue Waterfield's daughter Victoria from the Daleks.

         A team of archaeologists from Earth has uncovered a site on the planet Telos where Cybermen are entombed, and some of them want to revive the Doctor's enemies.

             At a Tibetan monastery, the Doctor meets an English explorer, Professor Travers who is looking for the Yeti, or Abominable Snowman of legend.

           After landing in Australia, the Doctor discovers that a dictator called Salamander who looks like him wants to take over the world, and must be stopped.
