UMD Active Tectonics

Welcome to the Active Tectonics Laboratory at the University of Maryland!

We primarily use geodetic tools including GPS and interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) to monitor crustal deformation. Our research focuses on co-, post-, and inter-seismic deformation, earthquake source, lithospheric rheology, natural hazards, and landscape evolution in geomorphology.
