Tuesday Evening Running Squad at Monash Clayton

Update – Wednesday 5th January  2011

 Hi All

Well – we were back on the track last night – Tuesday 4th January - and I was very pleasantly surprised at the numbers. We had 26 turn out – on a great night for running – and all handled the session extremely well. On the same Tuesday evening (5th January) last year we had 19 there – so again – a great result.

Last night we did 2 x 60 sec, 4 x 30 sec – recovery jog of 90 sec after this -  then repeated the 2 x 60, 4 x 30, and everyone survived

And we had a new member arrive – Daniel Liu – welcome Daniel.

As is usual we’ve lost a few of our regulars – as they take up positions in the workforce after completing courses and are unable to get to Monash to join us – but new squad members are always arriving so any departures are always well & truly covered.

We will be in action again as usual next Tuesday evening 11th January 2011, and as usual we'll meet at 6.00pm for a 6.05pm sharp start

·         We’re still located at the Baseball field, & using the pavilion over there. Access by car is quite good & parking is very handy - enter from Ring Road East & go around to the Baseball field along the road  around the back (Wellington Rd end) of Oval 1.

·        And we’ll be in action every Tuesday evening without fail throughout 2011

Saturday Morning Hill Session at Jells Park

Our  Hill session WILL go ahead again this coming Saturday morning (8th January) - at Jells Park, and I’ll be there for sure. We’ll meet as usual  at 8.30am SHARP out the front of the cafe – ‘Madelines’. Enter Jells Park from the entrance in Waverley Rd extension – opposite the Glen Waverley Golf Course.

I know some are competing in the afternoon, and others are away on holidays  – but if not I hope to see you on Saturday morning.

Don’t hesitate to join us if you feel inclined – we cater for all – and a coffee afterwards is always on the cards if any interest.
