More fine weather for us this week – a really pleasant night for our session on the grass at the baseball oval. Thanks to Len for being the whistle blower – gave me time to watch the action better – and encourage you to greater efforts ! And of course thanks again to my good mate Gordon – our cones ‘putter outer’ !

We had a terrific turn out this week – 47 of you – well done. It was fantastic to see Mikhail B, Juliette H, Ali F, Tan N, & Peter B back with us after absences for a range of reasons & periods.  Our session this week was 4 x 60sec (60sec recovery jog), followed by 8 x 30s (30 sec jog recovery) Usual 15 min warm up & 15 min warm down.

Our  Hill session WILL go ahead again this coming Saturday morning (26th February) - at Jells Park, and I’ll be there for sure. We’ll meet as usual at 8.30am SHARP out the front of the cafe – ‘Madelines’. Enter Jells Park from the entrance in Waverley Rd extension – opposite the Glen Waverley Golf Course.

Emer Casey Fun Run

For the second year Monash Sport, Clayton – and our squad -  will be hosting the ‘Emer Casey Fun Run’ – on Sunday 21 May, at the Clayton Campus.  There will be 2 events – a 5k run/walk as well as a 10k.  Last year over $20,000 was raised from this run at Monash for the Emer Casey Foundation – and the money was directed to Melbourne’s Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
