Reno Plans

This room will be gutted and bumped out when the renovations take place. Below are some thoughts for the nook we plan to build in. (We have a breakfast room now, but this will be a bump out with windows all around.)

Early Kitchen Thoughts

So far: changed walls from deep brown to light green, painted celing and trim, began making/hanging curtains, recovered yardsale chairs to match curtains, hung minimal wall art, removed all doors/drawers to paint, replaced all hinges, added hardware, replaced light fixtures, built pot rack

There is a LOT left to do in our phase 1 makeover....We hope to do a complete gut-remodel in a few years.

The breakfast nook adjoins the office and overlooks the backyard.

The terrible cabinets are being redone to look like this.  Still, you can't fix that they are uneven and the drawers don't work! haha!

We have lots of floor space in our kitchen, but little actual storage, we've rigged up a few storage solutions...a pot rack....(gotta love the never-ending painter's tape!)

...Hooks for the coffee cups, since my sweetie usually drinks out of those instead of glasses...

....a "pantry" over the fridge....

...and extra shelves for the glasses!....still, we need more storage!

I love Ikea's cheap curtains!

Kitchen window/chair fabric....for now, the curtains are pinned up while I try to decide a length/style...someday I might actually finish them! :)

Well, our ghetto fridge finally died.  We replaced it with this one...
