Mohammed is currently a PhD student in Computer Science (Bioinformatics) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln working with Dr. Jitender S. Deogun on deep learning classification of histopathology images.
In Feb 2016, Mohammed started working as a Lecturer in the Computing Department at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU) in Saudi Arabia. He then successfully secured a scholarship from PSAU to complete PhD. In May 2015, Mohammed graduated with Master's degree in computer science from the Department of Computer & Information Sciences of the University of Delaware (UD). I am fortunate to have joined the Computational Biomedicine and Machine Learning Lab and worked under supervision of Professor Hagit Shatkay on databases of biomedical data, creating a central dataset for protein subcellular localizations. Before that, Mohammed did his Bachelor's degree (with honors) in computer science at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
