Party leadership stops by Republican Meet the Candidates Night

On Aug. 31st the State Chair stopped by the local Republican Party meet the candidates night. Since New Hampshire is an open Primary state, we thought to check it out.  At the end it became clear that the decision to join the Whig Party was the correct decision.  I wish I took a video of the meeting.  Would have been a great recruiting video for our party.  Just a bunch of "My Guns", "Less Taxes no mater what" speeches.  No real ideas.

While attending a rally for the Johnson/Weld presidential ticket, the leadership of the NH Modern Whig party showed their support and even got a chance to meet Gov. Weld after the rally.  He was so impressed with them he immediately offered Mr. Cerf and Mr. Robert cabinet posts in the new administration and even mentioned running as a Whig for the second term.  (OK, all we really did was give him a pamphlet, shake his hand and got a cool picture taken.  Just as good!)
