Perfect for any man cave, basement, garage, attic, spare bedroom, office or just about anywhere. Collecting model trains is fun but actually running and operating them on a layout is the ultimate. Let me help you choose which type, scale and size is right for what ever space you have. You definitely want something that not only looks great but is also functional, practical and obviously reliable. If you can't find a layout on this site their are websites that have free track plans that I can give you an estimate on built. It makes perfect sense to have your layout built by a professional who has been designing and building model railroad layouts for over thirty years. Call or email me so I can better explain or answer any questions you have directly. Contact info is at the bottom of every page. Welcome to the greatest hobby in the world;
A basic 15" X 10' switching layout is a great way to start. It has challenging real railroading operations plus plenty of opportunity for weathering and intricate fine detailing and can fit anywhere. It can also be a first module in a complete around the room layout. Many options to choose from.
A lot of railroading can be packed into a three by six foot N scale layout which is not only portable but can fit just about anywhere. The upper level left and right sections are removable for easy access to the hidden rails. This also allows you to take them to your work bench for convenient custom detailing.
This is a Z scale version of the Buzzards Bay Vertical Lift Railroad Bridge on the Cape Cod Canal in Bourne Mass.
