Cloud
computing is rapidly becoming a new computing paradigm that fundamentally
alters the landscape of computing services. The cloud computing model offers
great opportunities for mobile computing and service industry, allowing mobile
devices and services to leverage the dynamic and elastic resources offered by
the clouds. Cloud based services such as IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service),
PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service), and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) are ideally
suited for mobile devices and services where performance, affordability,
scalability, availability, and elasticity are critical metrics. Many potential
uses have been proposed to integrate this powerful paradigm into mobile devices
and services.
