Granite Falls Historical Society




    The goal of the Granite Falls Historical Society is to preserve the history of the area of Granite Falls, MN and to make this history accessible to the public.  The Society houses its museum in the Andrew J. Volstead House. Originally owned by Congressman Volstead, the author of the National Prohibition Act of 1919 from 1894-1930. Put on the National Register and made a National Landmark in 1974, it was transitioned into the museum in 1979.
