The Renville County Historical Society was organized in 1940 to collect, preserve, and share the history of Renville County and its people. In addition to running the museum, the Historical Society has multiple projects running, such as protecting a local log cabin, rebuilding a blacksmith shop, digitizing newspapers, local records, and photographs, remembering and marking grave sites, and recording cemeteries.
