The Hector Historical Center aims to act as a collector, organizer and preserver of the historical records and other materials for the city of Hector and its surrounding area.  It is also an educational center and provides a valuable resource for the public to access information about the area and its past. In 2011 it became the home of a new Military Heritage Hall which boasts information on citizens who were members of the military from the Civil war up to the present day.
