Cosgrove House

Carson Nesbitt Cosgrove (or C.N. Cosgrove as he was known in business) was one of the founding members of the Minnesota Valley Canning Factory along with his brother in 1903, which eventually became the Green Giant Company.  The house that bears his name was built in 1895, though little else is known about its construction.  Cosgrove lived in the house until his death in 1936 from a car crash north of Mankato.
The house is currently run as a Bed and Breakfast and the inside has been remodeled to accommodate four rooms with full baths as well as other modern amenities.  The exterior still maintains its distinctive look, however.
