Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society

Established in 1972, this historical society is home to a museum and archive that are open for public use, free of charge. The society's goal is to preserve and document the physical history of the Lake Minnetonka area, as well as to establish a way in which this information can be shared with the community and general public.   In addition to these services, the society has also published multiple books about the history of the Lake Minnetonka area, and also presents lectures as well as other programs throughout the year.
