Chippewa County Historical Society

The Chippewa County Historical Society holds multiple events throughout the year such as the Horse Power Event, Christmas in the Village, Mission Sunday, Heritage Week and the Annual Banquet. The Chippewa County Historical Society is unique in that rather than an individual building or two, they own multiple buildings, enough to be called Historical Chippewa City. They own 24 buildings, specifically styled to replicate  late 1800's village. Additionally, some of their buildings are used as more than historical sites, such as the Swensson Farm Museum, Lac Qui Parle Mission; both are available for weddings, and the Museum for much more.
