Waconia Heritage Association

The Waconia Heritage Association was organized in 1983 to preserve and memorialize the history of the community. They work towards three goals:
  1. Promoting an appreciation of work done by their forebears.
  2. Preserving writings, photos and documents pertaining to the regions history.
  3. Publishing histories to disseminate heritage with future generations.
They actively collect and archive past and current historical information, assist in placing landmarks on the National Register of historic places, write essays based on historical documents for publication, and participate in celebrations of local history.
