The Lincoln Park historic district largely encompasses the neighborhood that historically bears the same name.  The neighborhood was built on a bluff with an excellent view of the Minnesota River valley on the north and steep bluffs that  separate the district from the rest of the city to its south.  The district contains 170 contributing houses (out of a total of 203) constructed between 1856 and 1930 that demonstrate a wide range of architectural styles.
