The department of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will host the Midwest Number Theory Conference for Graduate Students the weekend of November 19th and 20th. This conference is an opportunity for graduate students working in number theory to present their work and meet in a friendly environment.

The conference will consist of twenty minute talks by the participants. Participants are encouraged to give talks on their ongoing or completed research projects. All areas of number theory are welcome!

Jordan Ellenberg has put together some nice advice on giving good math talks.

Number Theory Days

In addition, on the Friday before the conference, the department will also be hosting Midwest Number Theory Day; see here for information.
