Leslie is a naturopathic doctor and the President of the Minnesota Association of Naturopathic Physcians. Leslie earned her B.A. in Philosophy from The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN and her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Leslie is Board Certified by the
North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners and is currently
licensed as a family practice physician in Washington State and is registered in the state of Minnesota. Leslie has practiced naturopathic medicine for over a decade in Minnesota where she provides her patients with personalized and comprehensive natural approaches to their healthcare needs.
Since its beginning, Leslie’s practice has emphasized family healthcare, including healthy nutrition, improving immunity in young children, individualized detoxification/cleansing protocols, optimizing gastrointestinal health, and education and counseling on a variety of women’s health issues including a whole woman approach to menopause and alternatives to conventional hormone replacement therapy.
As an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), Leslie serves as President of and liason for its affiliate state organization, the Minnesota Association of Naturopathic Physicans and was recently appointed to the Minnesota Naturopathic Advisory Council. Leslie is also a member of the American Holistic Medical Association and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (ONCANP), an organization who's mission is to advance the philosophy, science and practice of naturopathic oncology.
Leslie recently participated in the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society's (ILAD's) Physician Training Program, completing a clinical rotation in New York City with Dr. Bernard Raxlen, M.D., a leader in the treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borneinfections. Leslie is now looking forward to helping support patients with Lyme and other
tick-borne infections in her private practice and in collaboration with
Dr. Raxlen at Lyme Resource Medical in New York. Beginning in October 2009, Leslie will be seeing patients for initial interviews and regular office visits at Lyme Resource Medical, and will work closely with Dr. Raxlen to ensure quality integrative care for all Lyme Resource Center patients.
