Celebrate the Chinese New Year with an exhilarating concert showcasing the rich history of Chinese music performed on both western and traditional instruments. The internationally acclaimed Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Zhang Yi, make their Orchestra Hall debut with a program of popular and traditional Chinese works as well as classical music selections, including Tchaikovsky’s Andante Cantabile for Cello and Strings with DSO Principal Cello Wei Yu. 

In partnership with the American Chinese School of Greater Detroit and the Michigan New Century Chinese School, come early for Chinese artwork, kung fu and yo-yo demonstrations beginning at 6:30 PM. Doors open at 6 PM.
